Mobile Evangelisation Tents

In the early seventies the N.G. Church in Greytown experienced a spiritual revival. This gave birth to a mission outreach tent ministry. Rev. Denzel Dick was the second minister to lead (1980). On the 20th of March 1987 the church however decided not to continue with the tent ministry. A group of missionary friends called a meeting and decided that the work had to continue. A trust under the chairmanship of Francois Pretorius was founded.
Rev. Dick and two evangelists would do the work and the Trust would trust the Lord to provide the funds.

On looking back we stand amazed at how God has preserved his work, and allowed it to expand.

Is a Campaign economical?

An economist calculated that it would take 14 evangelists one year to reach the number of people we reach on a 10-day campaign.

This is an enormous cost saving. A ratio of 10:1 is mentioned i.e. for every ONE RAND spent on the campaign TEN RAND is saved on what it would cost to do the work in the normal way.

There is also a substantial saving in time. A tent ministry like this nature is of great value to the local black congregation where a campaign is held. The nature of this work is directed to stimulating local Christian ministry work. Besides this, people are given the opportunity to hear the gospel clearly at least once. Their blood could not be required from our hands (Ezek 3:18)

    M.E.T. believes that EVANGELISM should be of PRIMARY CONCERN to all churches.

    We do not believe in a “cheap” gospel.

M.E.T. IS A FAITH MINISTRY BORN OUT OF REVIVAL TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL AND HAS EXPERIENCED THAT ALL OUR NEEDS ARE PROVIDED FOR BY THE LORD. HE ENABLES US TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK WE WERE COMMISSIONED FOR through contributions made by - individuals

- and church groups.
